Silvia Siravo

Riano Festival - Theater in the quarries - 2011

Silvia Siravo, a very talented actress, started to be on stage from an early age. Daughter of the artist of Edoardo Siravo and Anna Teresa Rossini, she dedicated her time to cinema and theater.

On the occasion of the Riano "Theater in the Quarries" festival, where the location adds a touch of picturesque poetry to every show, Silvia Siravo played Teresa, by Toni Fornari, inspired by the popular novel by Jorge Amado, "Teresa Batista tired of war ". The story is about the adventurous life of Teresa, also nicknamed "the encantada", as the Afro-Brazilian mythology goddess: a prostitute able of becoming a virgin again with every new lover, defeating the black devil, child slave. Silvia Siravo narrates the protagonist's life while, in her room, she is preparing her white bridal dress for the most beautiful day of her life. So in memories she relives the passions, desires, struggles, in an attempt to redeem herself, hoping for a new life.

A show full of talent, in which the protagonist changes together with the flow of her memories and we are with her, lulled by her voice and her gestures.
